This on-the-move family trip will take you on a journey of a lifetime through the many sites of Turkey.

  • On Day 1, you arrive in Istanbul, located on both sides of the Bosphorus.
  • On Day 2, you will visit Topkapi Palace, Blue Mosque, Hippodrome, St. Sophia Museum and the Grand Bazaar.
  • On Day 3, you will visit the Spice Bazaar and go on a Bosphorus Cruise. Later, you will catch your flight to Cappadocia.
  • On Day 4, you will visit Goreme Open air museum, Uchisar castle, Devrent valley and fairy chimneys.
  • On Day 5, drive to Konya later to Pamukkale, famous for its thermal pools.
  • On Day 6, you will visit Cotton Castles and Hierapolis and later, drive to Kusadasi.
  • On Day 7, you will get to see Temple of Artemis and the ancient city of Ephesus.
  • On Day 8, catch your flight to Istanbul and prepare to depart to your home country.

ITINERARY

DAY 1

Arrive in Istanbul

You have arrived in the intriguing city of Istanbul, the city of two continents. You will be welcomed and taken to your hotel located in the old city and check in.

You stay overnight in Istanbul.

DAY 2

Sightseeing in Istanbul (Breakfast and Lunch Included)

After a delicious breakfast, you will visit Topkapi Palace, Blue Mosque (The Sultan Ahmed Mosque), Hippodrome, St. Sophia Museum (a former cathedral, later an Ottoman imperial mosque and now a museum) in Istanbul and the Grand Bazaar, housing over 3000 shops.

You stay overnight in Istanbul.

Please keep in mind that St. Sophia Museum is closed on Mondays, Topkapi Palace is closed on Tuesdays and The Grand Bazaar is closed on Sundays.

DAY 3

Istanbul: Bosphorus Cruise; Istanbul to Cappadocia (Breakfast and Lunch Included)

Breakfast will be served at the hotel after which you will visit the Spice Bazaar and hop on a cruise to sail up the Bosphorus which is where Europe and Asia meet. Lunch will be served after which you will be taken to the airport to board your flight to Cappadocia. Upon arrival in Cappadocia, you will be welcomed and taken to your hotel for check in.

DAY 4

Sightseeing in Cappadocia (Breakfast and Lunch Included)

This morning you have an option to go on a Hot Air Balloon ride, over Cappadocia’s surreal landscapes.

After a lip-smacking breakfast, you will visit Goreme Open Air Museum with its breathtaking cave-churches, Uchisar Castle, Devrent Valley and Fairy Chimneys.

You stay overnight in Cappadocia.

DAY 5

Sightseeing in Konya; Konya to Pamukkale (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner Included)

After breakfast, you will begin your journey by driving to Konya. You will first visit the Tomb of Shams-i Tabrizi (The Sun of Tabriz). He was known to be an inspiration, a spiritual guide and companion to Mevlâna Jelaleddin Rumî. Then you will visit Mevlana Museum which is built to celebrate the life of Jelaleddin Rumi who founded the Mevlana Sufi Sect and is known to be a great mystic around the world. You will also visit the Selimiya Mosque and then drive to Pamukkale, known for its mineral-rich thermal waters flowing down white travertine terraces.

You stay overnight in Pamukkale.

DAY 6

Sightseeing in Pamukkale; Pamukkale to Kusadasi (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner Included)

Today, after breakfast at the hotel you will visit the Cotton Castle and the Greek-Roman city of Hierapolis which includes the well-preserved necropolis, the gates and the main street, the Greco Roman theatre, the Basilica of St. Philippe and the thermal baths. You will also get a chance to swim in this hot spring which is a very therapeutic experience. After this you will drive to the resort town of Kusadasi.

You stay overnight in Kusadasi.

DAY 7

Visit Ephesus from Kusadasi (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner Included)

After breakfast, the time has come to completely absorb yourself into history with a guided tour of the site of Temple of Artemis and the ancient city of Ephesus, one of the seven wonders of the ancient world. As soon as you step in you will feel the mystical atmosphere of the city and the stadium where races were held surround you. You can also purchase and see Turkish Handicrafts. Your last visit will be Sirince Village located at the top of a mountain. You will return to your hotel after Sirince Village.

You stay overnight in Kusadasi.

DAY 8

Departure (Breakfast Included)

After breakfast, you will be taken to the airport to catch your flight to Istanbul and further catch your homebound flight.

WHEN TO GO

The European side of Turkey and Istanbul experience extremely hot summers and very cold winters with snowfall. April to May which is spring and September to November which is Autumn are some of the best times to visit these areas when the skies are clear, and the weather is amiable. The Mediterranean and Aegean coast enjoys a Mediterranean type of climate which can be characterized by its warm summers and mild winters. Beach-side destinations like Kusadasi are hence popular destinations to travel to all year round.
