  • Lake Manyara Game Drive: Lake Manyara is known for its rich bird life which includes sugar-pink flamingos. Common animal sightings include the baboons, giraffes, impala, buffalos, zebras, elephants and hippos. The park is also known for its unique tree-climbing lions other thanthe 400 species of birds that visit the lake.
  • Serengeti National Park Game drive: The Serengeti over time has come to be associated with paradise. It is known for its world-famous massive annual wildebeest migration during the period of June-July. On a game drive you can ride on a 4x4 with an expert as you spot any of the 4 million animals living in the park.

WHEN TO GO

Dry season is the perfect season to visit Tanzania as the animals are moving to grasslands and stay close to the watering holes thus making it the best time for animal sightings. July to October gets very less or no rains and the skies are clear makes it ideal for sighting of wild animals. It also helps that the wild roads are dry to allow access to the national parks. June and July are best season to watch the wildebeest migration. March and April experience the worst weather as it rains heavily. January and February is the best time to experience wildebeest calving.
