ITINERARY

DAY 1

Arrive at Barcelona

Arrive in Barcelona. After you land and gather your belongings you will transfer to the hotel.

An enchanting seaside city, Barcelona comes with loads of culture, famous architecture and a world-class dining scene.

Here you will go on a hop on hop off sightseeing tour. Barcelona has many UNESCO World Heritage Sites and the highlights of this tour are the Gothic Quarter, Casa Mila, Sagrada Familia, Park Guell and Casa Batlló. Plus, throughout the city, you will be able to marvel at the work of Antoni Gaudí, a world-famous architect.

DAY 2

Half Day Excursion to Montserrat

After breakfast, you will prepare for a half day Montserrat excursion.

Meaning ‘serrated mountain’ in the Catalan language, Montserrat is very different from its neighbour – Barcelona. Montserrat is serene and relaxing and a great day trip option from Barcelona. The imposing mountains of the region are special as they are known to house statue of Virgin Mary, who is believed to perform several miracles and attract plenty of visitors.

It’s also a go-to place for adventure seekers and rock climbers, the trails have breathtaking views. Plus, the Penedès region is associated with producing a local variety of champagne known as cava.

DAY 3

Barcelona to Valencia by Train

After breakfast, transfer to the train station where you will take a train to Valencia.

Valencia is a magnificent city with a thriving eating, cultural, dining and nightlife scene. With contemporary buildings, many museums, a colourful old quarter and endless stretches of pristine beach there’s plenty to do and see. Don’t forget to try the ever-famous paella.

Here, you will go on a hop on and hop off sightseeing tour. You will explore sites such as Plaza del Ayuntamiento, central market, Plaza de la Reina, former silks exchange – La Lonja, Turia river bed gardens, Miguelete bell tower, etc.

DAY 4

Valencia to Malaga by Train

After breakfast, check out of your hotel in Valencia. Transfer to the train station from where you will take a train to Malaga. Once you reach, transfer to your hotel.

Come to Málaga, the largest city on the Costa del Sol. It’s a city that was the birthplace of the artist Picasso, and is overflowing with history, a variety of art galleries, beaches and excellent cuisine.

Here, you will be able to witness the city in all its glory on a hop on hop off sightseeing tour. You will stop by the cathedral La Manquita, the Picasso Museum, the Playa de la Malagueta beach and Plaza de Toros.

DAY 5

Day Trip to Granada

DAY 6

Malaga to Seville by Train

After eating breakfast at the hotel, you will transfer to the train station. From here you will board a train to Seville.

Seville is the capital of Andalusia and the best place for foodies to visit and those who love dancing, this is the hub of the ever-famous flamenco dance form where dance floors are constantly buzzing.

You will spend the rest of the day at leisure, exploring on your own.

DAY 7

Sightseeing Tour in Seville

After breakfast at the hotel, you will head on a hop on hop off sightseeing tour of Seville. DAY 8

Seville to Madrid by Train

After eating breakfast at the hotel, you will transfer to the train station. From here you will board a train to Madrid.

DAY 9

Day Trip to Toledo

After breakfast at the hotel, you go on an excursion to Toledo.

In Toledo, you can find a wealth of monuments and a cultural and artistic legacy which can be witnessed in the form of fortresses, palaces, synagogues, churches and mosques.

After your tour, you will head back to Madrid by bus.

DAY 10

Madrid to Porto by Flight

After eating breakfast at the hotel, you will transfer to the airport. From here you will board a plane to Porto, Portugal. Later, transfer to your hotel.

Porto, a coastal city, allures travellers with its delectable food and Port wine, UNESCO World Heritage status Historic Centre and charming locals. The Douro River provides a scenic backdrop to the cutting-edge architecture, quirky street art and several points of attraction.

DAY 11

Day Trip to a Vineyard

After breakfast, prepare for an excursion to a winery where you can indulge in port wine tasting.

Start the tour off with breathtaking views of the riverside and the historic centre. Move on to Régua where you will visit the town centre and learn about the vineyards and later, enjoy wine tasting at a Port Wine Estate. You will also visit a small town called Pinhão and the historic centre in Vila Real’s and witness stunning panoramic views.

DAY 12

Porto to Lisbon by Train

After eating breakfast at the hotel, you will transfer to the train station. From here you will board a train to Lisbon.

Sightseeing in Lisbon

Excursion to Sintra and Cascais

Departure from Lisbon

WHEN TO GO

The peak tourist season in Spain is the summer months of July and August. This is when prices are flight higher and crowds are more. To avoid crowds and cheaper prices, you can visit during spring which is from March to May or fall which is September to November. If you wish to travel in summer, book early. The best time to visit Portugal is the same as Spain from March to May and September to November.
