Arrive at Guwahati airport, where you will be met by our representative and driven to Shillong (120 kms, 3 hrs), the capital of Meghalaya. Enroute, view the Umiam Lake (Barapani), the largest man-made lake in Meghalaya in the midst of East Khasi hills. You may also visit Cathedral of Mary Help of Christians, one of the most beautiful churches of Shillong and Ward’s Lake.
On arrival in Shillong, check in to the hotel. You have the evening free at leisure. For shopping, visit Police Bazaar.

After breakfast, drive to Cherrapunjee (60 kms, 2 hrs), one of the wettest places on the Earth. Enroute, visit Meghalaya’s highest peak, Shillong Peak for panoramic views and Elephant Falls.
On arrival at Cherrapunjee, visit Mawsmai Caves and some famous Cherrapunjee waterfalls such as Mawsmai Falls, Nohkalikai Falls – the fourth highest waterfall in the world and Seven Sisters Waterfall (Nohsngithiang Falls).

After breakfast, trek to the must-visit place in Cherrapunjee, Double Decker Living Root Bridge, which is 150+ years old.
The trek is a downhill one, with steeper steps in two short stretches. Trek back to the hotel.
Relax with some local music. Overnight stay at the hotel.
After breakfast, transfer to Mwallynong (2.5 hrs), declared the cleanest village in Asia. Sky View is a popular point for a bird’s eye view of the village. Interact with members of the Khasi tribe and observe their ways of living.
The nearby village of Riwai is home to a living-root bridge constructed by locals to cross the river when needed. Trek through the forest to reach the living-root bridge. These bridges take fifteen years to become functional and grow stronger with time.
Later drive to Dawki, a village where the annual boat rice is held in the Umngot River during spring. This village serves as a gateway to Bangladesh, where trade takes place. Enjoy a boat ride in the crystal-clear waters of the river.
Later proceed to Shillong (2.5 hrs).
On arrival at Shillong, check in to the hotel for your overnight stay.
After breakfast, transfer to the Guwahati airport from Shillong (140 kms, 3.5 hrs) for your trip back home.
