Your 8 day tour begins in the magnificent city of Paris, where you will spend 3 days exploring Notre Dame, Palais Garnier, the Eiffel Tower and a beautiful cruise along the River Seine. Switzerland is next on the list as you head to Lucerne and Interlaken. These towns will help you see Mt. Titlis and Jungfraujoch which are both magical destinations.

  • On Day 1, arrive in Paris, France and check-in to your hotel.
  • On Day 2, you visit the famous attractions of the city including Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame and go on a cruise along the Seine River at night.
  • On Day 3, you can go on a tour of Disneyland or choose to appreciate paintings at the Louvre Museum or take a relaxing stroll through the city.
  • On Day 4, you will head to the fairy-tale town of Lucerne.
  • On Day 5, you will visit Mount Titlis by cable car.
  • On Day 6, you will head to Interlaken by boarding the Zentralbahn.
  • On Day 7, head to Jungfraujoch and get the best views of Eiger, Monch and Jungfrau and also the longest river of ice - Aletsch glacier.
  • On Day 8, you will head back to Zurich and board your flight back.

ITINERARY

DAY 1

Arrive in Paris

Arrive in Paris, the ‘city of love’, which will surprise you at each step. You will be travelling to the hotel on your own. You can explore the city on your own. You might also consider heading to the Lido show in the evening, in case that interests you.

DAY 2

Paris City Tour, Seine River cruise and Eiffel Tower

After breakfast, it is time to leave for a tour of France’s capital city. You head to the famous Arc de Triomphe, Notre Dame Cathedral, Concorde Square and Palais Garnier. You will then go to the iconic Eiffel Tower, where you will be able to go up to the second level and enjoy a spectacular view of the city. Later, you will take a cruise on the Seine River to enjoy the nighttime views of Paris.

DAY 3

Spend the Day at Leisure

After breakfast, you can pick one from some optional tours. You can either visit Disneyland or head to the Louvre Museum or you can choose to spend your last day walking around the city on your own.

DAY 4

Travel from Paris to Lucerne via Basel

Check out from your hotel after breakfast. Today, you will be traveling to Lucerne via Basel. Arrive in Lucerne, a beautiful town that looks just like a fairytale storybook town. After arriving in Lucerne, you will visit the Old Town and then explore the Chapel Bridge and Water Tower located by the River Reuss. This is a popular tourist destination since the 1840s. Spend the evening exploring the town on your own.

DAY 5

Excursion to Mount Titlis

Today is the day you will visit the famous Mount Titlis or Mount Pilatus (optional). Mount Titlis is a well-known tourist spot that stands tall at 3020 meters and is one of the most famous spots in Switzerland for snowboarding and skiing enthusiasts. You will go to the top by rotair cableway. This is a must visit spot for anyone visiting this country, so make the most of the view while you are here.

DAY 6

Travel from Lucerne to Interlaken

After a scrumptious breakfast, you will take the Zentralbahn, a regional train via the Brünigpass that will take you to Interlaken. Interlaken lies in the Bernese Oberland and is located between two famous lakes, Lake Thun and Lake Brienz. After check-in, you will be free to explore the town on your own, so you can plan a day of exploring the town that has a view of the famous Mount Jungfrau, the Eiger and Mönch mountain peaks.

DAY 7

Excursion to Jungfraujoch

You leave for Jungfraujoch after breakfast, via the Jungfrau Railway. The train will go through the mountains to the highest train station in Europe at a height of 3454 meters. The destination is a beautiful winter wonderland and will give you an out of this world experience. Make sure you look for all the enchanting peaks visible from the top, including Mittelland and Vosges. You will also be able to see Europe’s largest glacier, the Aletsch glacier, surrounded by magnificent mountain peaks.

DAY 8

Travel from Interlaken to Zurich; Departure

After your last breakfast in your hotel in Interlaken, you will head back to Zurich to catch your flight back home.

WHEN TO GO

The best time to visit France and Switzerland would be April to September. France is perfect as the sun is pleasant and the warmth is very welcoming. However, during September and November, you are likely to see a lesser crowd and you get to have the town to yourself!
