Our Egypt Highlights tour covers everything from ancient landmarks to deep-rooted history to culinary wonders. Explore the Giza Pyramids, the Great Sphinx and the Egyptian Museum in Cairo. Egypt is primarily known for its pharaohs and pyramids, and our Egypt sightseeing tour ensures that you do not miss anything important. After exploring Cairo, the Nile Cruise also allows you to explore the cities of Luxor and Aswan, cities with ancient wonders.

  • On Day 1, you will arrive in Cairo, the capital of Egypt and spend the day leisurely.
  • On Day 2, visit Giza Pyramids, Sphinx and the Egyptian Museum. Later, catch a train to Aswan.
  • On Day 3, visit Philae Temple and High dam, before embarking on your Nile Cruise.
  • On Day 4, you will spend time on the cruise and visit Temple of Kom Ombo.
  • On Day 5, you will spend time on board the cruise and sail to Luxor.
  • On Day 6, visit Valley of the Kings, Hatshepsut Temple, Colossi of Memnon, Karnak temple, and Luxor temple and take a train to Cairo.
  • On Day 7, you will reach Cairo and spend the day on your own.

ITINERARY

DAY 1

Arrival in Cairo

Welcome to Cairo, the capital of Egypt. Upon arrival, our guide will meet you after which you will transfer to the hotel for check-in. You can spend the remainder of the leisurely, exploring the place on your own.

Optionally, in the evening you can go on a sound and light tour or a dinner cruise.

You will stay overnight in Cairo.

DAY 2

Sightseeing in Cairo; Cairo to Aswan

After breakfast at the hotel, you will go on a tour to visit a few famous sites in Cairo such as the Sphinx, the Giza Pyramids, a Perfume Factory, Papyrus Fair and a cotton shop. Later, you will go to the Egyptian Museum which houses more than 1, 65,000 artefacts from Egypt, Tutankhamen’s gold coffin and the death mask. At the museum, you will first get an introduction by the guide about important pieces and later, you will be allowed to explore the place on your own. After the museum, you will visit Khan el-Khalili Bazar, a major souk and a top tourist attraction. Before calling it a night, you will travel from Cairo to Aswan in an overnight train.

DAY 3

Sightseeing in Aswan; Overnight Cruise

You will be met by our representative at Aswan Station. From there you will go on to visit Philae Temple, High Dam and unfinished Obelisque. Later, check into M/S Monaco Nile Cruise and have lunch and dinner onboard.

You will stay overnight on the cruise.

DAY 4

Cruise; Visit Temple of Kom Ombo

You will be onboard the cruise and you will sail to Kom Ombo. Here you will visit the Temple of Kom Ombo. You will eat a scrumptious lunch on the cruise. Dinner will be served on the cruise.

DAY 5

Cruise

You will have an appetizing breakfast on the cruise and and then sail to Edfu and to Luxor Via Esna Lock. The next two meals will be on the cruise as well.

You will stay overnight on the cruise.

DAY 6

Disembark Cruise - Luxor - Cairo

After breakfast on the cruise, you will check out and go on a tour. You will visit the Valley of the Kings, Colossi of the Memnon, Hatshepsut Temple, Karnak and Luxor Temple.

After the mind-blowing tour, you will head to Luxor station and board a train to Cairo. Enjoy a local dinner on the train.

You will stay overnight in the train.

DAY 7

Cairo

You will reach Cairo, where our representative will help you transfer to the hotel for check-in.

You will stay overnight at the hotel.

DAY 8

Departure

After breakfast, your Egypt tour is over and you will depart from Cairo and fly to your home destination.

WHEN TO GO

For pleasant temperate and to enjoy your time in the country, the best time to visit Egypt would be from October until April. Remember that sightseeing in Egypt is centered around the desert. Hence, it is bound to be quite hot even if you go in the cooler months. Carry appropriate items to protect you from the heat.
