On this 9-day romantic Croatia trip, you arrive in the capital city of Zagreb and you go touring around this heritage town. Then you move to Split, a beautiful coastal town with a great vibe and from here, you go to Hvar and have the time of your lives. Finally, you reach the beautiful Dubrovnik which wears its old town feel very well and is as romantic as it can get and you leave from here.

  • On Day 1 you arrive in Zagreb and you check and relax for the rest of the day.
  • On Day 2, you go on an informative tour around Zagreb and you get to see a couple of landmarks and monuments around here.
  • On Day 3, you move to your next destination Split, second among major cities in Croatia, and on this day, you visit the Plitvice National Park and you go on a detailed tour.
  • On Day 4, you spend the day going around on a local tour around the city of Split and you check out the many interesting monuments and landmarks.
  • On Day 5 and Day 6, you are taken to Hvar Island and while here, you can have the time of your life, chilling, partying and just going around the island.
  • On Day 7 and Day 8, you move to the last destination on your trip, the beautiful Dubrovnik. The day you arrive, you get to spend it in leisure and the next day, you go on a walking tour around Dubrovnik old town, exploring the place on foot.
  • On Day 9, your beautiful, memorable Croatia trip comes to a close and you are homeward bound from Dubrovnik, Croatia.

ITINERARY

DAY 1

Arrival in Zagreb

You arrive at the Franjo Tudman Airport in Zagreb. Your airport transfer will be waiting for you at the airport to take you to your hotel. Check in to the hotel in Zagreb.

DAY 2

Zagreb: City walking Tour

Zagreb, the beautiful capital city is also the largest city of Croatia. On this day, after breakfast, you are taken on a guided walking tour of this charming medieval city. This interesting tour will take you to two different sides of the city, the vibrant, lively modern part of the city and on the other side you are taken through the old, cultural, historical side of Zagreb. In the Upper Town area, you are taken to the Gothic Cathedral, the beautiful and ornate St. Catherine’s Church, and the large St. Mark’s Church with its inviting color-tiled roofing. You continue to the medieval Stone Gate and “Dolac,” the open-air market which is the main highlight and must to visit.

DAY 3

Zagreb – Split: Enroute visit the Plitvice National Park

Enroute to Split, you visit the Plitvice National Park with a local guide (duration approx. 2.5 hrs). Enjoy remarkably beautiful landscapes and get a good insight into the historical importance of this UNESCO World heritage site.

The Plitvice National Park is one of the most beautiful and best preserved national parks in the country. It is a valley situated between high-forested mountains which lie one below the other, a line of 16 beautiful lakes that wear a nice crystal blue and green color that renders its beauty to the surrounding areas and makes it look exceedingly beautiful. They are fed by smaller streams and brooks, they further split into 92 foaming cascades and thundering waterfalls. The Plitvice lakes breathtaking scenic beauty is literally a treat to the eyes and all your senses, and walking on the wooden bridges and the neat paths is an indescribable experience, and you take a scenic boat ride that takes you close to the waterfall.

DAY 4

Split: Half day Split guided walking tour

After a buffet breakfast at the hotel you proceed on a guided Split sightseeing tour on foot (duration approx. 2 hrs). The old town of Split came up on the erstwhile Roman Palace that was built in the 4th century by the Roman Emperor Diocletian. So as you proceed on the walking tour, it first talks to the well-preserved Palace cellars or the vault. And here you get an idea as to how the palace thrived. Later, you see the Golden Gate, the Silver Gate, and the Peristyle Square from the outside.

DAY 5

Hvar: Take a tour around Hvar Island

After breakfast at the hotel, you transfer to the exotic island destination- Hvar Island. The island is perfect for those who seek a beach destination and want to just party and chill. It is said to be sunniest island in Europe and has the largest number of UNESCO heritage sites that no other island seems to have. The “Lavender Island” here seems to be home to over a hundred hidden bays and beaches and is known for its tranquil beauty.

DAY 6

Hvar: Day at leisure

After breakfast in the hotel, you have the day free to explore the beautiful island on your own and relax on the island regarded world-wide for being home to the best wines ever.

DAY 7

Transfer to Dubrovnik

After having breakfast at the hotel, you transfer to Dubrovnik and stay overnight in the hotel here.

DAY 8

Dubrovnik: Half day Dubrovnik guided walking tour

After breakfast, you proceed on a Dubrovnik guided walking tour (duration approx. 2 hrs). Dubrovnik is a medieval town that is encircled by lines of stone walls which adds to the city’s aura. The walking tour includes visits to the Dominican Monastery that features a collection of medieval paintings. The guide will take you through the narrow streets in the Old Town area and share insights about the history and culture of this glorious city.

DAY 9

Departure from Dubrovnik

After breakfast you are transferred to the airport on a private basis to take your flight back home, and you take back some indelible impressions and memories of your trip!

After the chilling winters from November-end to March, the temperature starts rising and welcomes spring in full swing. Spring is indeed the best season to visit Croatia as the snow melts and flowers blossom. From May to August the country enjoys great weather as days are long and sunny and it is a great time to get your tan while admiring the breathtaking national parks and beautiful lakes of Croatia. The summer months from May to August are best to enjoy the Croatia coasts and Islands. In October the weather starts cooling down again and moves into November, which is a great time to enjoy events, concerts and, many musical programs.
