WHEN TO GO

For those who want to bask in the sun and enjoy the Austrian summer, plan a visit during April to October. During spring (April and May), the weather is pleasant, while summer from June to August is the peak tourist season. Fall (September to October) is also a good time to visit as the weather tends to be a bit chilly but unlike winter, it's more pleasant. If you are a winter lover and sports enthusiast, then skiing and other activities are available from the months of November to April. Winter travel isn’t recommended unless you are headed to a ski resort as it can be cold and wet. Most often, during other times of the year, these places remain closed.
