ITINERARY

DAY 1

Bangalore

On arrival at Bangalore, also known as the ‘Garden City’, meet our representative and proceed to the hotel. Use the day to explore the city at your own pace, visit malls and enjoy pub hopping.

DAY 2

Bangalore - Mysore (150 kms, 4 hrs drive)

After breakfast, check out of the hotel and proceed for a Bangalore sightseeing tour. Visit Cubban park, established in 1870, and Vidhana Soudha, the seat of the state legislature. Then, drive to the majestic Bangalore Palace and Tipu Sultan’s Summer Palace. Later, drive to Lal Bagh and Nandi Temple. Stop at Seringapatam while driving towards Mysore.

On arrival at Mysore, check in to the hotel. In the evening, experience the  Brindavan Garden light and sound show.

DAY 3

Mysore

After breakfast, check out of the hotel to proceed to full day sightseeing of Mysore including KrishnaRajaSagara Dam, the 12th century Chamundeswari Temple, Jaganmohan Palace and the famous opulent Mysore Palace.

DAY 4

Mysore - Ooty (220 kms, 5 hrs drive)

After breakfast, check out of the hotel to drive to Ooty, one of the most beautiful hill stations and the perfect honeymoon spot. Enroute visit Mudumalai National Park, a tiger reserve located in the Nilgiri district. On arrival at Ooty, check into the hotel. Later, proceed for your tour which includes the Government Botanical Gardens, Ooty Lake, Doddabetta Peak and Sim’s Park.

DAY 5

Ooty

After breakfast, proceed to the full day tour of Ooty that includes the toy train ride (tickets not included). Experience the picturesque journey in the famous toy train from the town of Mettupalayam to the hill station of Ooty and later drive to explore the local market of Ooty.

DAY 6

Ooty - Kodaikanal (225 kms, 4 hrs drive)

After an early breakfast, check out of hotel to proceed to Kodaikanal, the ‘Princess of Hill Stations’, traversing through the green rolling hills and enjoying the mesmerising views. Check into your hotel at Kodaikanal. Later, proceed for a sightseeing tour of this lakeside town, which includes Guna caves, formed between 3 boulders and are a popular tourist spot.

DAY 7

Kodaikanal

After breakfast in the hotel, proceed for a full day sightseeing tour of Kodaikanal, a popular cliffside destination. Visit Coackers walk, Bryant Park, Kodaikanal Lake, Chettiyar Park and Kurinji Andavar Temple, dedicated to Lord Murugan, set in scenic surroundings with Kurinji flowers that bloom once in 12 years. You can also enjoy a romantic boat ride in the Kodaikanal Lake.

DAY 8

Kodaikanal - Madurai - Departure (125 kms, 4 hrs drive)

After breakfast in the hotel, check out to proceed towards Madurai airport for heading back home.

WHEN TO GO

Both Ooty and Kodaikanal are classic hill stations which can be visited year-round. But if you want to explore the place sans the nippy cold, it is April to June and September to November. And then the winter sets in and temperatures drop, but if you want to experience the fog and the cold, head here during winter too. Mysore and Bangalore wear a pleasant weather throughout the year and summers and winters are not extreme and they make for a year-round destination.
