ITINERARY

DAY 1

Mumbai – Nashik – Aurangabad

In the morning, drive to Aurangabad from Mumbai. Enroute, visit Trimbakeshwar Shiva Temple, which is one of the 12 Jyotirlinga Temples dedicated to Lord Shiva.

Aurangabad, in Maharashtra was built in the 16th century and named after the Mughal emperor, Aurangzeb, and it is popularly referred to as the ‘City of Gates’.

DAY 2

Aurangabad Sightseeing

After breakfast, visit Ellora Temple (40 kms), Grishneshwar Temple - one of the 12 Jyotirlinga Temples dedicated to Lord Shiva, the ancient Daulatabad Fort, the 17th century Bibi Ka Maqbara and the water mill, Panchakki.

DAY 3

Ajanta Excursion

Today, after breakfast, proceed on an excursion to Ajanta Caves (120 km, 2.5 hrs). These rock-cut cave monuments are known for their architecture and murals, and have been recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

DAY 4

Shirdi

After breakfast, drive to Shirdi (144 km, 2.5 hrs). Shirdi, a renowned Sai Baba pilgrimage site is one of the most visited temples in the country. On the way, visit Shani Shinganapur Temple, famous for its temple dedicated to its holy deity, Lord Shani.

DAY 5

Departure for Mumbai

After breakfast, drive to Mumbai airport for your flight back home.
