The walk takes around 2-3 hours and it takes you through beautiful pine forests, the ‘Basket of Dreams’ sculpture, and you can catch 360-degree views of the important Queenstown tourist activities.

Lake Hayes

Lake Hayes is located close to both Queenstown and Arrowtown. It is a small lake in the Wakatipu Basin. Many people go hiking, running, cycling on the trails that wind along the lake. And the surrounding grassy areas are perfect for some leisure activities.

This Park is located in the Southern Alpine region and is perfect for hiking and trekking. Nature lovers get to enjoy the beautiful natural landscape all around. The start point is about 12kms from Queenstown and the 2-4 hours long hike takes you through beautiful greenery, the manuka and beech trees, waterfalls, and the historic Twelve Mining Creek Gorge.

This tiny island is located in the South Island. It is a great spot to go hiking and enjoying tranquil nature at its best. There are regular tours to Milford Sound from Queenstown. Or if you’re driving on your own, it is a beautiful 4-hour road trip.
