ITINERARY

DAY 1

Arrive in Auckland

Upon arrival in Auckland, you meet our representative in the arrival hall and transfer to your hotel in a private car. Those who opt for the self-drive option will pick up a rental car from the airport and drive to your hotel.

After settling down and freshening up, in the evening you will visit the Sky Tower (entrance cost included). It’s one of the tallest man-made structures in the country at a height of more than 1076 feet. The tower has three stunning viewing platforms and a glass-fronted lift takes you up to them.

Later, you will walk to Viaduct Harbour, a bustling harbour where you will find more than 30 restaurants and bars to choose from and all of them offer stunning views of the glistening water. Dine, relax, sip on your beverage and watch the world go by.

DAY 2

Auckland to Rotorua via Waitomo

After a hearty breakfast at the hotel’s restaurant, you will head to Waitomo. Here, you will embark on a guided tour of the Waitomo Caves and go a boat ride through the famous Waitomo Glowworm Caves. It’s one of the best natural attractions in New Zealand and once you witness thousands of glowworms light up, you’ll know why. The species of glowworms found here, Arachnocampa Luminosa is unique to the country.

Later, you will travel past the Mamaku Range to arrive at the thermal resort town of Rotorua. Self-drive customers will pick up their rental cars and drive that down.

DAY 3

Sightseeing in Rotorua

After a hearty breakfast at the hotel’s restaurant, you will proceed to Agrodome to watch the Agrodome Farm Show, where there will be non-stop entertainment by New Zealand's talented animals. From dogs to sheep and ducks, this hour-long show with animals will ensure a fun-filled, learning experience for all.

Later, you will make your way to Te Puia, an iconic destination known for its boiling mud pools, geysers and hot springs. It’s also the centre of Maori culture and geothermal wonders. Here you can watch the Maori craftsmen at work as well as learn the art of weaving and carving.

Also, visit Rainbow Springs Nature Park, which is set amidst the beautiful forests and native trees of Rotorua to witness the flora and fauna of the country. At this park, you have the opportunity to meet interesting creatures who call this land their home and learn about the country’s fascinating history - it’s certainly an educational and fun-filled experience.

Self-drive customers will travel in their rental cars and coach tour customers in the sightseeing coach. You will spend the evening leisurely.

DAY 4

Rotorua to Queenstown

After a wholesome breakfast at the hotel’s restaurant, coach tour customers will transfer to Rotorua Airport and prepare to depart for Queenstown (flight not included). Once you arrive, you will travel to your hotel.

Self-drive customers will travel to the airport in their rental car, drop the car off before boarding the flight to Queenstown (flight not included). After you arrive, set out to pick up your rental car and drive to the hotel.

You will spend the evening leisurely.

DAY 5

Queenstown: Day Trip to Milford Sound

Get ready for an eventful day, as today you will go on the Milford Sound Cruise. To reach your destination, self-drive customers will go in their rental car and coach tour customers will travel in a coach.

Milford Sound is known for its fiords and the best way to view them is on a cruise. From the boat, you will witness the frosty alpine peaks looming over, the inky blackness of the water and the stunning cliffs encircling you. You will get to see Mitre Peak, an iconic mountain which is one of the most photographed peaks in New Zealand. During your journey, you may stumble upon seals sunbathing on the rocks, plenty of birds, and several cascading waterfalls.

You will return to the hotel in the evening, where you will stay overnight in Queenstown.

DAY 6

Queenstown: Day at Leisure

Today, you have an option to enjoy the ‘adventure playground of New Zealand, and indulge in exciting activities such as a jet boat ride, bungee jumping off a ledge, river rafting, skydiving, etc. Adrenaline junkies, take your pick!

DAY 7

Queenstown via Mount Cook to Christchurch

Today, after breakfast at the hotel, you will travel to Christchurch via Mount Cook National Park. During the journey, you will get a chance to view Mount Cook, the highest mountain in New Zealand from close. After a scenic journey, you will arrive at Christchurch in the evening.

Again, self-drive clients will use a rental car and coach tour customers will travel in a coach.

DAY 8

Departure

After breakfast, self-drive customers will travel in their rental car and drop the car at the airport and coach tour customers will be transferred to the airport in a shared vehicle. Later, everyone will board the flight and travel to their end destination.

  • Queenstown is the adventure capital of the world. Skydiving, the original Bungy jumping, paragliding, speed boating and it really doesn't stop there.
  • In Rotorua, thrill seekers can try the Skyswing, reaching 150 kmph or give a go on the Luge
  • When in New Zealand, you HAVE to try the Hokey Pokey Ice Cream consisting of vanilla ice cream with honeycomb toffee. The pavlova, a meringue based dessert, that you may have seen many times on MasterChef, is a popular New Zealand dessert.

WHEN TO GO

New Zealand is practically a year-round destination. It has very pleasant climate for most parts of the year and the place does not see any major extremities in weather and temperature. The summer months are between December and February and winter is between June and August. The spring season is between the months of September and November and autumn is between the months of March and May. So depending on which season you want to experience, you can choose to travel then.
