OVERVIEW

On your 11-day offbeat Charming Croatia holidays and Montenegro for couples, you arrive in the ancient walled city of Dubrovnik. After discovering the town on foot, you move to Budva (Montenegro) where you spend 3 nights. From here, you move to the heritage town of Podgorica and later to the high altitude town of Zabljak and finally, you reach the last destination, the famed Kotor and you get to unwind and check out this beautiful spot. You return home from Dubrovnik.

  • On Day 1 you arrive in Dubrovnik and you check and relax for the rest of the day.
  • On Day 2 of your Croatia Holidays, you go on a nice walking tour around Dubrovnik, exploring the place on foot and enjoying each other’s company.
  • From Day 3 to Day 5, you move to your next destination Budva, and you engage in some nice local sightseeing around Budva. The next day, you go on a day’s excursion to Cetinje and Mountain Lovcen and have an eventful day out here. And the last day here, you go to the Skadar National Park.
  • On Day 6, you now move from Budva to Podgorica and you go Croatia sightseeing around this heritage city.
  • On Day 7 and Day 8, you now move from Podgorica to Zabljak and here you visit the famed Durmitor National Park.
  • On Day 9 and Day 10, you move to historically relevant, heritage city of Kotor. It is scenically very beautiful and is home to many monuments. You spend 2 glorious days going on a guided tour and also visiting Perasta nearby.
  • On Day 11, your beautiful, memorable offbeat Croatia trip comes to a close and you are homeward bound from Dubrovnik, Croatia.

ITINERARY

Day 1 – Dubrovnik Arrival
You arrive in the Cilipi Airport. Transfer from the Dubrovnik airport to the hotel. You stay overnight in the hotel in Dubrovnik.

Day 2 – Dubrovnik sightseeing guided walking tour 
In the afternoon you go on a Dubrovnik guided walking tour (duration approx. 2 hrs). Dubrovnik is a medieval town that is encircled by lines of stone walls which adds to the city’s aura. The walking tour includes visits to the Dominican Monastery that features a nice collection of medieval paintings. The guide will take you through the narrow streets in the Old Town area and share insights about the history and culture of this glorious city.

Day 3 – Dubrovnik – Budva
After breakfast in the hotel you are transferred from your hotel in Dubrovnik to Budva and the travel time is about 3 hours on a private basis.

Budva is home to some of the most beautiful coasts in the world. The main attractions here include the Holy Trinity Sv Trojica Church, the tomb of the famed Serbian writer, Stjepan Mitrov Ljubiša, the Church of St. Ivan and more.

Day 4 – Budva: Excursion to Cetinje and Mountain Lovcen
After breakfast in the hotel you will visit the old royal capital city, Cetinje that is home to many museums, monasteries and neat little streets. It is located by the foothills of Mountain Lovcen, a sacred place. The National Park of Lovcen, is known for its untouched, unspoiled natural beauty and a visit here makes for a great experience. From the top of the mountain you can enjoy great magnificent views of the surrounding areas and you can also see one of the highest sited mausoleums in the world here.

Day 5 – Budva: Full day tour Skadar National Park
After breakfast in the hotel, you drive from Budva to Sveti Stefan, for a nice, panoramic photo stop. Then you visit Virpazar, which is said to be the last home of pelicans and is also said to be the largest bird reservation spot in Europe. Then you visit Lake Skadar, said to be the largest lake in Southern Europe. It is home to the last sweet water swamps in the Balkan region. The lake area, surrounded by wetlands is a very popular National Park.

Day 6 – Budva – Podgorica: Podgorica sightseeing tour
After breakfast in the hotel, you are taken from Budva to Podgorica on a private basis. It takes about an hour to reach here. Podgorica is said to be the administrative capital of Montenegro and is also the economic and cultural center. A heritage city, in the bygone era, it was the gateway for armies and caravans to pass by. And so its history has many stories to tell.

Day 7 – Podgorica to Zabljak
After breakfast in the hotel, a private transfer from your hotel in Podgorica to Zabljak is undertaken and it takes about 2 hours to reach here.

Day 8 – Zabljak: Durmitor National Park sightseeing tour
After breakfast at the hotel you are taken to the beautiful Durmitor National Park. The stunning untouched landscape and mountain ranges makes for a great visit here. The park is home to many mountains and is filled with canyons like Tara, Draga and Susica and the upper canyon valley, Komarnica. The River Moraca is home to one of the most eye-catching river canyons.

Day 9 – Zabljak – Kotor
After breakfast in the hotel you are transferred from Zabljak to Kotor. It takes about 3 hours to reach here.

Day 10 – Kotor: Half day tour with local guide – Perast & Kotor
After breakfast in the hotel, enjoy a drive around the Kotor Bay that is filled with many little settlements. Then, you visit the Island of The Lady of the Rocks, with its beautiful baroque church. You enjoy a walk in Perast, a City that gave many famous captains. Then you move to Kotor, located along one of Montenegro's most beautiful bays, a beautiful city with many a story to tell. The Old City of Kotor was built between the 12th and 14th centuries and it is considered a heritage city. Its medieval styled architecture and many monuments have made Kotor a UNESCO designated “World Natural and Historical Heritage Site".

Day 11 – Dubrovnik Departure
After breakfast you will be transferred to the airport on a private basis to take your flight back home, and you take back home some nice, indelible impressions and memories of your trip!
