OVERVIEW

Popularly referred to as the ‘Queen of Hill Stations’, Mussoorie makes for a perfect retreat for travellers who seek an escape from the hectic nature of everyday life. The pleasant weather and the many interesting spots it offers makes it a popular tourist destination.

To get the best of the River Ganga, Rishikesh is the go-to destination. It comes with a historic divine vibe that lingers across the holy waters but is also jam-packed with fun and adventure. The wide-ranging activities like bungee jumping, kayaking, white water rafting, and bonfire camps makes it an adventure enthusiast’s utopia.

It also comes with few places that are apt for sightseeing like the Laxman Jhula, Ram Jhula and the iconic Haridwar where many pilgrims throng to gain some spiritual enlightenment.

The Jim Corbett National Park is a must-visit for all naturalists and nature lovers. The buzzing wildlife and birds are eye-catching and one may also get a close-range view of the many tigers that hover around the reserve. The Bijrani range exclusively provides for tiger sightings while the Dhikala Range is best for bird-watching.

The bumpy elephant rides are also quite the experience.

WHEN TO GO

Anytime between October and May is perfect for catching a sneak peak of the majestic tigers or to explore the regions of Mussoorie and Rishikesh.  Mussoorie transforms into a Switzerland of sorts in winter making December to February a good time to witness the snowfall.
