Here, you visit the heritage sites of Agra and Fatehpur Sikri, explore Corbett National Park, one of India’s best park experiences for sighting the elusive tiger and experience the lakeside hill station of Nainital. This is an all-season itinerary where one can combine the three most popular elements of North India travel i.e. The Taj Mahal, the tiger and the Himalayas.
Corbett - Riverside character, Jeep Safaris in Corbett National Park
Nainital (6500 ft asl) - Lakeside Character, excursions to Himalayan Hamlets of Almora / Binsar and Lakeside hamlets of Sattal / Bhimtal / Naukuchiatal.
Day 1 - Arrive at Delhi and proceed to Agra. Evening Taj Mahal Visit. Arrive at Delhi and travel to Agra (210 kms - 4 hours), home of the Taj Mahal, one of the original seven wonders of the world. You arrive at Agra by the afternoon and thereafter you visit Taj Mahal in the evening. Thereafter, you are free to explore Agra on your own.
Taj Mahal is open from sunrise to sunset.
Guests arriving early have an option to visit Mathura enroute (60 kms before Agra), a renowned Lord Krishna pilgrimage.
Day 2 - Excursion to Fatehpur - Sikri and return to Agra to visit Agra Fort and Sikandara Today you undertake an excursion to Fatehpur - Sikri (30 kms), the erstwhile capital of the Mughal Kingdom and renowned for its Mughal era monuments including Tomb of Saint Salim Chisti. You return to Agra by the afternoon to visit other prominent monuments of Agra such as Agra Fort (UNESCO heritage site), Jama Masjid and Sikandara (Tomb of Emperor Akbar)
Note: Guests may visit Mehtab Bagh in the evening for views of the Taj Mahal from the other side of the Yamuna river.
Day 3 - Travel to Nainital Today you travel to Nainital (6500 ft asl - 340 kms - 8 hours), a renowned lakeside hill station in the Kumaon region of Nainital. You will arrive at Nainital by the evening. Rest of the evening is for you to relax and recuperate from the long journey or explore Nainital on your own.
Day 4 - Bhimtal / Sattal Excursion Today you undertake a half day excursion to Bhimtal (4000 ft asl - 20 kms) and nearby Sattal (3500 ft asl - 5 kms from Bhimtal), both renowned for their idyllic lakeside character. Bhimtal is renowned for boating and Sattal for bird watching. After spending some time there, you return to Nainital. Enroute you can take a detour (25 kms) to visit the twin Himalayan Hamlets of Ramgarh (6500 ft asl) and Mukteshwar (7000 ft asl). You return to Nainital by late afternoon. In the evening, you may visit the Nainital town centre (known as Mall area) for boating, street shopping and general exploration.
Day 5 - Almora / Binsar Excursion Today you undertake a half day excursion to Almora (7000 ft asl - 68 kms) and nearby Binsar (8000 ft asl - 20 kms from Almora), both renowned for their idyllic hillside character. You visit Jageshwar Temple complex, a set of 100 ancient Lord Shiva temples (dated 7-12th Century), believed to be one of the 12 Jyotirlinga temples by many. Thereafter, you proceed to visit Binsar, a reserve forest area and prime bird watching site. You return to Nainital by the evening.
Note: Lunch at Mohans Binsar Retreat is recommended.
Day 6 - Travel to Corbett. Evening Safari Today you travel to Corbett (80 kms - 2 hours), a riverside wildlife destination, renowned for being India's premier wildlife experiences and where you have a chance to sight the elusive tiger. You arrive at Corbett by noon and thereafter, in the afternoon, you proceed for a Jeep Safari in Corbett National Park.
Note: 2:30 PM is the entry time for afternoon safaris.
Day 7 - Morning Jeep Safari and Activities in evening Today you leave early for your morning safari in Corbett National Park. Morning safaris are best for tiger sightings and bird watching. You return to the lodge by 10 AM and then rest of the day you spend at leisure enjoying the riverside character of Corbett. You have an option to undertake activities such as an Elephant Ride (1 hour) and a riverside walk.

Day 8 - Delhi Departure Depart for Delhi (250 kms - 6 hours) for onward departure by flight / train
