Day 1 - Arrive at Madurai and drive to Kodaikanal Arrive at Madurai and travel to Kodaikanal (7000 ft asl - 120 kms - 3 hours), one of the most popular hill stations of South India, renowned for its idyllic lakeside, scenic views and a laidback character. Enroute you visit Meenakshi Amman Temple (a major heritage traveller attraction and one of the Shaktipeetha Temples). Reach Kodaikanal by late afternoon. Rest of the day is for you to explore Kodaikanal on your own.

Day 2 - Explore Kodaikanal Today you explore Kodaikanal to visit some viewpoints (Coakers Walk), Gardens (Bryant Park) the lake (Boating), museum (Shembaganur Museum of Natural History) and local temple (Kurinji Andavar Temple). You return to your hotel by late afternoon. Rest of the day is for you to explore Kodaikanal on your own.
Day 3 - Travel to Thekkady. Evening visit to Periyar Lake and Elephant Junction Today you Travel to Thekkady (2500 ft asl - 150 kms - 3.5 hours), a renowned hillside destination in Eastern Kerala renowned for its spice plantations and wide-ranging experiences. You arrive at Thekkady by afternoon and later in the day you visit spice plantation, visit Elephant Junction for an elephant ride, undertake a boat ride in Periyar Sanctuary and then visit a local cultural centre featuring some of the traditional Kerala dance performances. You return to your hotel by late evening.
Day 4 - Full Day Excursion to Gavi Eco Tourism Today you depart early at 6 AM for full day Gavi Eco tourism programme featuring Jeep Safari, Bamboo Rafting, Nature walk, bird watching, etc. This is your best chance to explore Periyar Reserve Forests and enjoy a day full of activities and experiences. You return to Thekkady by the evening. Rest of the evening is for you to explore Thekkady on your own.

Day 5 - Travel to Munnar. Evening visit to Mattupatty Dam and Eravikulam National Park. Today you depart for Munnar (5500 ft asl - 100 kms - 3 hours), a hill station in Eastern Kerala, renowned for its misty climate and tea plantations. Drive from Thekkady to Munnar is through thick forests, plantations and sparsely habited areas. You arrive at Munnar before lunch time. In the afternoon, you visit Mattupatty Dam (Boating) and Eravikulam National Park (renowned for Nilgiri Tahr). Rest of the evening is for you to explore Munnar on your own.
Day 6 - Munnar Local sightseeing Today you explore Munnar. First you visit Tea Museum and understand tea processing. Thereafter, you visit Attukal waterfalls. In the afternoon, you visit some of the viewpoints in the area such as Top Station (40 kms). You return to your resort by late afternoon. Rest of the evening is for you to explore Munnar on your own.
Day 7 - Kolukkumalai Tea Estate Excursion Today you take an excursion to Kolukkumalai Tea Estate, the world's highest organic tea estate (7000+ ft asl). It requires a difficult 1 hour jeep ride to reach the estate. The drive is adventurous and the views enroute are superb. You return to your resort by the afternoon. Rest of the evening is for you to explore Munnar on your own.
Day 8 - Depart for Madurai Today you depart for Madurai (154 kms - 3.5 hours) for a train / flight to onward destination.
