Day 1 - Arrive at Srinagar and proceed to Gulmarg. Arrive in Srinagar and proceed to Gulmarg (9000 ft asl - 50 kms - 1.5 hours), a mountain resort overlooking stunning views of the Mount Affarwat and a renowned destination for all year-round snow experience (Ski resort between Mid-Dec to Mid-April). You arrive in Gulmarg by the afternoon. Rest of the day is for you to get acclimatised with high altitude and enjoy stunning views of the mountain ranges and surrounding countryside.
Day 2 - Gulmarg Gondola Today you take a ride on the world's highest cable car (popularly known as the Gondola). There are two phases. Phase 1 is where you will find meadows and Phase 2 is where you will find a lot of snow. You will spend half day there and return to Gulmarg base by afternoon. Rest of the day you may engage in horse riding and other local activities or just enjoy the stunning Himalayan character of Gulmarg.
Day 3 - Travel to Pahalgam Today you travel to Pahalgam (7200 ft asl - 135 kms - 3.5 hours), a riverside destination with picture perfect views of the snow-capped mountains and a very popular holiday destination. Enroute, you will see yellow mustard fields with Himalayan backdrop, stopover at saffron fiends, visit Avantipur Ruins and Martrand Sun Temple. You will reach Pahalgam by late afternoon. Rest of the day you may walk around the market area and enjoy the Himalayan character of the area.
Day 4 - Pahalgam Sightseeing and Excursions Today you undertake half day excursion to Aru, Betab Valley and Chandanwari, all offering stunning views of the region. You return by the afternoon. You have an option to further explore Pahalgam on foot or on a horseback to visit meadows and viewpoints around Pahalgam (such as Baisaran).
Day 5 - Travel to Srinagar Today, you travel back to Srinagar (100 kms - 3 hours), the lakeside capital of Kashmir, renowned for its houseboat stay, Mughal gardens and Wazwan Cuisine. Enroute you will visit a cricket bat making factory. You will arrive at Srinagar by the afternoon to your houseboat stay. In the evening you will take a Shikara Ride to experience the idyllic lakeside character of serene Nagin Lake.
Day 6 - Sonamarg Excursion Today you undertake an excursion to Sonamarg (8500 ft as - 85 kms - 2 hours), a renowned mountain resort on Srinagar - Leh route offering superb Himalayan character with stunning views of the Thajiwas Glacier. You have an option to take a ride on horseback to the glacier and/or undertake activities such as white-water rafting. You return to Srinagar by late afternoon. Rest of the day is for you to explore Srinagar on own.
Day 7 - Srinagar Sightseeing - Mughal Gardens - Hazratbal Mosque - Shankracharya Temple Today you undertake local sightseeing in Srinagar to visit Shankracharya Temple, Hazratbal Mosque and Mughal Gardens (Nishat Garden, Shalimar Garden and Chashmeshahi Garden). Rest of the day you have the option to do some shopping or visit the Boulevard area and enjoy a Shikara ride in Dal Lake or just sit atop your houseboat to enjoy lakeside views of Nagin lake. Rest of the day is for you to explore Srinagar on own.
Day 8 - Departure Depart from Srinagar Airport for onward destination.

When to Go
