When to Go
If you want to see and experience driving through these Passes, the Rohtang and Kunzum La Passes opens to traffic during the first week of June. So it is advised to travel here between the months of June-September.
A notable point here is that the entire region (except Manali), does not experience the monsoons as it is situated in the rain shadow region. The winter months are of course a big no-no, and owing to weather conditions, snowing and the biting cold, the Passes are off-limits.
