Pench National Park is a wildlife getaway on the Madhya Pradesh – Maharashtra border. Part of India’s famed Project Tiger since 1992, Pench is perhaps the best place to see tigers in India since it is home to majestic tigers, leopards, many other animals and more than 250 resident and migratory birds. Interestingly, Rudyard Kipling based his iconic celebrated book, The Jungle Book and Mowgli’s adventures with the furious Sher Khan, on this very place.
We arrived at Pench to the mesmerizing Kohka Wilderness Camp.
Kohka derived its name from Kohka lake nearby.
While in Pench National Park– best place to see tigers in India, we visited two park ranges in Pench – Touria and Khursapar.
We saw tigers in both ranges – A tiger family in Touria and a single one resting in Khursapar. Not for nothing is Pench called the best place to see tigers in India!
We had some fun food after the safari
Bird watching in the lodge itself
We also took some Lizard Photos
Overall, we had an amazing time on our Pench getaway.
