OVERVIEW

If you are planning a romantic getaway to a nearby country, and sun and sands and natural beauty are high on the agenda, then an 8-day Love in Lanka trip is what you should opt for.   • On Day 1, you are transferred to the resort town of Bentota.

  • On Day 7, leave Kandy and head to the last stop, the capital city Colombo.

WHEN TO GO

The island nation of Sri Lanka sees two different monsoons. The island wears a tropical climate as it is very close to the equator and humidity levels are very high. It’s monsoon time in the West and Southwest coasts and the hilly areas of Sri Lanka between April-May to September (while most of the rains happen between April-June). The other monsoon the island nation sees is the Northeast Maha monsoon that hits the eastern coast. This happens between the months of November to March. Therefore, if you are planning on visiting the West and the Southern coasts and the hilly regions, it is between December-March. April-September is the ideal time to visit the eastern coast of the island. So, if you are on a Love in Lanka tour, then the best time to visit Bentota, Nuwara Eliya, Kandy and Colombo, which is in the West coast, Central region and the South-central side of Sri Lanka, would most definitely be the months from April to September and December to March respectively.
