ITINERARY

DAY 1

Arrive at Madrid

Arrive in Madrid, fondly known by locals as ‘Bear and the Strawberry Tree’. After you land and gather your belongings, prepare to transfer privately from the airport to your hotel.

Madrid is an engrossing city that will have you gripped from the moment you set on it. It has fine art from Flemish to Goya, it’s one of the richest culinary capitals of Europe, the architectural wonders provide a stunning backdrop to city life and to top it all off, the night life is legendary.

Once you reach the hotel, get ready for a hop on hop off sightseeing bus tour around the magical city of Madrid. On this tour, you will visit highlights such as the Plaza de España, Gran Vía, Puerta del Sol, Habsburg old quarter, the Real Madrid Stadium, Paseo de la Castellana, Puerta de Alcalá and Santiago Bernabéu.

DAY 2

Excursion to Toledo

After breakfast at the hotel, you go on an excursion to Toledo.

Toledo is known as the ‘city of three cultures’, as for centuries, Arabs, Christians and Jews all lived within the walls of the city. In Toledo, you can find a wealth of monuments and a cultural and artistic legacy which can be witnessed in the form of fortresses, palaces, synagogues, churches and mosques.

After you tour, you will head back to Madrid by bus.

DAY 3

Madrid to Córdoba by Train

After a hearty breakfast at the hotel, you will transfer to Madrid train station. From here you will board a high-speed train to Córdoba. Once you reach, you will head to your hotel.

Córdoba is a charming little city in Andalusia with exceptional restaurants and a plethora of things to do and see. Explore the true charm of the city by exploring the winding cobbled stoned streets of the medieval city all the way to the buzzing touristy areas. You will witness overhanging trees, potted plants, wrought-iron balconies, verdant interior patios and golden-stone buildings.

Here, you will go on a hop on hop off sightseeing tour by bus. Some of the highlights of the trip are the Jewish Quarter, the Roman Bridge, the Mosque of Cordoba - La Mezquita and the synagogue.

DAY 4

Córdoba to Seville by Train

After eating breakfast at the hotel, you will transfer to the train station. From here you will board a train to Seville.

Seville is the capital of Andalusia and the best place for foodies to visit and those who love dancing, this is the hub of the ever-famous flamenco dance form where dance floors are constantly buzzing.

You will spend the rest of the day at leisure, exploring on your own. If you are a ‘Game of Thrones’ fan, you can visit the Alcazar of Seville, which was used as a shooting location.

DAY 5

Sightseeing Tour in Seville

After breakfast at the hotel, you will head on a hop on hop off sightseeing tour of Seville. This tour will cover sights such as the Tower of Gold, the ornate Plaza de España, several museums in Seville, Seville Cathedral and the lively Macarena neighbourhood.

DAY 6

Seville to Málaga by Train

After breakfast at the hotel, you will transfer to the train station and head by train to Málaga.

Come to Málaga, the largest city on the Costa del Sol. It’s a city that was the birthplace of the artist Picasso, and is overflowing with history, a variety of art galleries, beaches and excellent cuisine.

Here, you will be able to witness the city in all its glory on a hop on hop off sightseeing tour. You will stop by the cathedral La Manquita, the Picasso Museum, the Playa de la Malagueta beach and Plaza de Toros.

DAY 7

Málaga to Granada by Bus; Visit Alhambra

After breakfast at the hotel, you will transfer to the bus station and head to Granada by bus. After you reach, you will go to your hotel.

Once the capital of Moorish Kingdom and situated on the foothills of the Sierra Nevada, Granada is where you will find beautiful landscaped gardens and mesmeric Islamic décor that are unparalleled. The streets of Granada are brimming with bustling bars, intimate flamenco clubs, bohemian cafes which leaves as much as an impression as the traditional sites.

Today, you will go on a half a day visit to Alhambra, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Alhambra is located on a rock hill which overlooks the magnificent city of Granada. As you set sights on Alhambra, you will see Islamic architecture in all its glory. This site consists of beautifully landscaped gardens and stunning Moorish palaces. The main highlights are the Alcazaba, Nasrid Palaces, the Palace of Charles V, the imposing towers and Generalife.

You will stay overnight in a hotel in Granada.

DAY 8

Granada to Barcelona by Flight

After a wholesome breakfast at the hotel, you will transfer to Granada airport from where you will take a plane to Barcelona. Once you reach Barcelona, you will transfer to your hotel.

An enchanting seaside city, Barcelona comes with loads of culture, famous architecture and a world-class dining scene.

DAY 9

Sightseeing Tour in Barcelona

After breakfast, you will go on a hop on hop off sightseeing tour. Barcelona has many UNESCO World Heritage Sites and the highlights of this tour are the Olympic Barcelona, Montjuïc hill, Barcelona’s most identifiable monument Sagrada Familia, Park Guell and Casa Batlló. Plus, throughout the city, you will be able to marvel at the work of Antoni Gaudí, a world-famous architect.

DAY 10

Departure from Barcelona

After a hearty breakfast, it’s time to bid adios to Spain and head to the airport for your flight to your onward destination.

WHEN TO GO

The peak tourist season in Spain is the summer months of July and August. This is when prices are flight higher and crowds are more. To avoid crowds and cheaper prices, you can visit during spring which is from March to May or fall which is September to November. If you wish to travel in summer, book early.
