Bandhavgarh is located in the North-eastern border of the “Heart of India” in the state of Madhya Pradesh and is nestled in the edge of the Satpura Mountain ranges. The Bandhavgarh forest is encompassed with the evergreen Sal Forest which is inviting, calm, and cool all through the year. Bandhavgarh is home to over 40 tigers that are often, easily sighted on a safari because the forest is smaller and offers excellent safari tracks that take tourists to the core areas where the tigers usually lurk around. It has three zones for safaris, namely, Tala, Magadhi and Khitauli. Now Khitauli is generally popular for its bird sightings whereas the other two zones are known for their tiger sightings.
