Bandhavgarh Wildlife Getaway

OVERVIEW

Bandhavgarh is located in the North-eastern border of the “Heart of India” in the state of Madhya Pradesh and is nestled in the edge of the Satpura Mountain ranges. The Bandhavgarh forest is encompassed with the evergreen Sal Forest which is inviting, calm, and cool all through the year. The forest is very colorful and vibrant that has several perennial water bodies and is filled with the bustle of ever-chirping birds.

Bandhavgarh is home to over 40 tigers that are often, easily sighted on a safari because the forest is smaller and offers excellent safari tracks that take tourists to the core areas where the tigers usually lurk around. It has three zones for safaris, namely, Tala, Magadhi and Khitauli. Now Khitauli is generally popular for its bird sightings whereas the other two zones are known for their tiger sightings.

Bandhavgarh along with Kanha has one of the best safari infrastructures as they have great durable jeeps customized for the safari tours and professional and enthusiastic naturalists too.

Bandhavgarh houses one of the best of Jungle Lodges that maintain international standards and even has African styled and designed Jungle Lodges and most of all, after a day of adventure, there’s great Indian cuisine awaiting tourists’.

WHEN TO GO

The best time to visit the Bandhavgarh is from October to May and it is when the Park is open to tourists and the weather is pleasant and dry. Those who like colder weathers, end of December to January is also perfect!
