ITINERARY

DAY 1

Arrive in Srinagar – Sonamarg

On your arrival at the Srinagar Airport, you will meet our representative who will assist and escort you. After that, we drive to Sonamarg (2 hrs drive), knows as the golden meadow. Enjoy the scenic views with a stunning backdrop of the Himalayas. On arriving at Sonamarg, proceed by horseback to the must-visit Thajiwas glacier or walk uphill (3 hrs). Later, drive around the local market and head to the hotel.

After a day full of exploring, enjoy a bonfire and an overnight stay in the hotel.

DAY 2

Sonamarg – Srinagar

After a sumptuous breakfast, drive to Srinagar and enroute, enjoy some half-day local sightseeing that includes a visit to the famous Mughal gardens of Nishat (The garden of pleasure) and Shalimar (Abode of love), against the backdrop of the Zabarwan Mountains.

Later, check in to the hotel and have an overnight stay at the hotel.

DAY 3

Srinagar – Pahalgam

After an early breakfast, move to your next stop - Pahalgam (3 hrs drive), the valley of the shepherds. Drive past the Pampore saffron fields, Avantipura ruins and the breadbasket of Kashmir, Bijbehara. Enjoy the scenic views as you drive parallel to the Lidder river. Upon reaching Pahalgam, enjoy a half-day sightseeing tour including picturesque Chandanwari and Betaab valley or ride by horseback towards the Baisaran meadows.

Overnight stay at the hotel.

DAY 4

Pahalgam – Srinagar

After breakfast at the hotel, drive back to Srinagar. Check in to your houseboat, which will be your abode for the night on your romantic honeymoon Kashmir holiday. Later, enjoy an hour long shikara ride on the Dal Lake, marveling at the beauty of your surroundings. In the evening you can go shopping around the local flea markets.

Enjoy your stay at the houseboat.

DAY 5

Srinagar – Gulmarg – Srinagar

After breakfast, kickstart the day trip towards Gulmarg (1.5 hrs drive), known for its skiing slopes.

Visit the market town of Tangmarg enroute and then arrive at Gulmarg, where you board a one of the highest Gondola cable cars towards Apharwat Mount. Marvel at the views of the snow-clad mountains and capture the beauty of Kashmir. After descending back to Gulmarg, enjoy horse-riding to the Strawberry Valley, where Jab Tak Hai Jaan was shot.

In the evening, drive back to Srinagar, where you have some time to explore more or simply rest.

Overnight stay at the hotel.

DAY 6

Depart from Srinagar

After an early morning breakfast, check out from the hotel and transfer to the airport for your flight back home.

WHEN TO GO

Due to snow, the roads to Sonamarg are remained shut during December-March. Making April-November the best time to travel to Kashmir. The main holiday season is April-June and Oct-Nov. There is no monsoon season as such, hence, anytime is good. The months after July tend to have a low flow of tourists.
