Day 1: Arrive in Manali You arrive at Manali (6500 ft asl), a very popular holiday destination and a base for many adventure activities. In the afternoon, walk around the market to get a first feel of Manali alongwith a glimpse of the Himalayas.
Day 2: Manali - Old Manali - Solang Valley Today, you undertake a soft trek around Manali. The trek begins from the old Manali village above the Beas River. The trail takes you through the ancient villages of Shanag and Bhurua. This beautiful valley offers magnificent views of glaciers and snow-capped mountains. From Solang Valley (8000+ ft), we drive down to Manali.
Total drive for the day is 1 hr and trek for the day is 3-4 hrs.
Day 3: Manali - Rohtang Pass - Manali Post breakfast, you drive through the beautiful Beas Valley on the Leh - Manali highway. You traverse through beautiful forests of Deodar, Silver Birch and reach Madi. Here, you can sip a cup of coffee / tea and continue to Rohtang Pass (13000+ ft). After arrival in Rohtang Pass, you will witness both sides of the pass. One side of the pass is rich green, and the other side offers the views of the cold deserts of Lahaul and Spiti region with Chandra River flowing right through. The pass offers panoramic views of Dauladhar, PirPanjal, CB Range, BadaBhangal, etc., before you head back to Manali.
Total drive for the day is 4-5 hrs.
Day 4: Manali - Jobra - Chikha Today, you drive to the dam site at Jobra (9000 ft) and from there you walk through a mixed forest having pines, spruce, deodar, chestnut and maple trees. Thereafter, you cross a beautiful meadow. You will need to cross the river where a makeshift bridge is made somewhere along the river. You cross the river and climb to a beautiful meadow called Chikha (10000 ft). Today’s hike is a gentle one and will take about 2 hrs. Having rested for some time, one is advised to walk up a short distance to a nearby waterfall, which is renowned for exotic bird species such as White Capped Redstarts.
Total drive for the day is 1 hr and trek for the day 2-3 hrs.
Day 5: Exploration around Chika - Jobra - Manali Today, you explore the Hampta trail and then trek back to Jobra from where you drive back to Manali.
Total drive for the day is 45 mins and trek for the day is 2 hrs.
Day 6: Rafting on Beas & Rope Activities You drive to the starting point for rafting (40 mins drive). Rafting in Manali is adventurous and fun, having Grade II and Grade III rapids. In the afternoon, you return for rope activities.
Day 7: Departure Today you depart from Manali to your onward destination.
