OVERVIEW

Rishabhadeo Temple is on the Udaipur-Ahmedabad road and is 65kms from Udaipur. It is famous for the Jain temple Kesariyaji Tirth, which is dedicated to the first Tirthankara Rishabhadeo.

Ranakpur Jain Temple is a 15th century temple featuring 1444 pillars, crafted with exquisite carvings making every pillar unique. The temple is known to be an architectural masterpiece and has incorporated the concept of Tirthankara’s four cardinal conquests, featured in its four-faced design.

Dilwara temple consists of 5 sets of temples established during the 11th century AD. They are crafted elegantly with white marbles and is considered highly sacred and the most beautiful by Jain pilgrims

Osian is famous for its group of Brahmanical and Jain temples dating around the 8th to 11th centuries. The city was the kingdom of the Marwars and was ruled by the Gurjara Pratihara dynasty.

Nakodaji is a sacred Jain Tirth and is one of the most famous Jain Temples in Rajasthan and if on a Jain Pilgrimage, this is a must-visit.

In and around Jaisalmer- is home to a large number of Jain temples some that are fully restored making it an ideal visit during the pilgrimage. Jain pilgrims also can visit the 7 Jain temples around the Jaisalmer Fort built during the 12th to 15th centuries.

WHEN TO GO

The best time to travel to these different destinations exclusively for Jain temple pilgrimage is the spring season, February-March and from October-February. The winters are not extreme, and travel can be undertaken.
