Gujarat Jain Pilgrimage

Palitana is the ultimate pilgrimage for Jains and is the most visited too. The climb takes an entire day and palanquins are available for seniors. The view along the climb as you go higher only gets more beautiful. This is a must do for any Jain and you should try it too.

The highest mountain in Gujarat, Mount Girnar (3666 ft asl) features 10,000 steps to the top of the hill. Temples here are as old as the 12^th century and they are bound to leave you amazed at their sheer strength and what went into constructing such a marvelous structure back in those days.
