Birding and Wildlife Break in Assam

OVERVIEW

Kaziranga National Park-Sighting of the exotic one-horned rhinos at an arm’s length while on an elephant safari out in the wild, spotting the untamed elephants, wild buffalos on a jeep safari, the rare sightings of a tiger amongst the tall bushes- an exciting wildlife package for avid adventure lovers!

Nameri National Park- Experience the one-of-a-kind Walking Safaris with armed guards along the park, boat rides across the ‘wild river’-Brahmaputra, white water rafting and bring home everlasting memories!

Manas National Park- Being home to at least 20 endangered species, including the Pygmy Hog, Hispid Hare & the Golden Langur, this park is the least visited in India which makes the wild encounters and birding more exciting.

Pobitora National Park- This is a birder’s heaven! To witness the rare, pretty, colourful birds cheerfully chirping in the forests would be truly delightful.

WHEN TO GO

The climate being tropical, nature is best enjoyed when the climate is pleasant; which makes November to April, an ideal time to visit. The parks remain closed for visitors during the other months due to extreme weather conditions like rains and cold weather.
