Twenty years back, Singapore was a country that only a few (geography fanatics, maybe) knew. Today, it is one biggest newsmakers in the tourism universe and considered to be one of the most elite and sophisticated countries on the planet. Criminally underrated for far too long, Singapore's rise to eminence wasn't a cake walk. The journey from a humble fishing village to a confident and trend-setting nation deserves applause. But don't let the skyline and neon lights fool you; like most Asian countries, Singapore retains its culture and heritage in its temples, markets and busy streets. World class destinations, shopping heaven, charismatic nightlife, mouth-watering cuisine and immersive culture and way of living; one can tour the globe without ever leaving the tropical country of Singapore.
Singapore single-handedly elevates the standards of Asian countries on the map. The experience of traveling to Singapore is thoroughly entertaining and catharsis. Rome was not built in a day but in my humble opinion, neither was Singapore.
